So, you need an editor…

On official channels, my purpose statement reads as follows:

Skilled managing editor and content marketer, with expert understanding of content optimization, SEO, inbound marketing, UX design, website optimization, and various graphics and design software suites. Proven success in building and restructuring editorial teams to maximize efficiency. Proficient in AP, MLA, APA and Chicago styles.

But what I bring to a company runs much deeper than a list of skills. Because I still believe in the written word. I believe in content as an opportunity. I believe people still put trust in companies that inspire confidence before asking for a conversion.

Most importantly, I believe readers need to feel passion and purpose in those words, not just trite, transactional language designed to shuttle them from Point A to CTA.

In addition to my writing and editing experience, my roles have required expert use of enterprise and open-source CMS platforms for content entry, UX optimization, and moderate design/layout duties. As a result, these sites recently saw positive boosts in relevant metrics, including time on site, return visits, bounce rate, and — yes — SEO and conversion.

As you’ll see, I have an extensive and diverse slate of bullet points, all of which highlight how I’ve helped drive informative digital content for all types of businesses – private universities to startups, lifestyle products to marketing gurus, and many other points in between.
